DPWT Masters Tournament 2026 — Golf Picks, Tips & Analysis

Course

Augusta National Golf Club

Location

Augusta, GA

Date

9 April 2026

2026-04-09

America/New_York

The 2026 Masters will officially begin at 7:25 a.m. ET (USA) on Thursday, April 9, when Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson hit the ceremonial tee shots off the first tee in one of the great Masters traditions. After three of the tournament’s greatest champions open play, the rest of the 91-player Masters field will begin their quest to join them as Masters champions.

Will there be a rookie win this year @ Augusta, we dive into each of our 9-player roster to reveal the winner, we have 9.89% of the field and when the field is cut to the top 50 players and ties after 36 holes (two rounds). Anyone outside the top 50 and ties is eliminated.

We have left room for a Late Mail if we see the right player trending outside our original 9 players.

  • Acres of Fairway: 79
  • Acres of Second Cut: 35
  • Number of Sand Bunkers: 44
  • Number of Water Hazards: 6
  • Number of Holes Water is in Play: 5
  • Soil Conditions: Clay / sand
  • Water Sources: Pond / river
  • Drainage: Good

Notable

• Since last year the front of No. 17 tee was reduced by 12 yards to change scorecard yardage to 450.

• This is the first tournament of the year for PGA TOUR players on bentgrass greens.

• Augusta National is the 2nd longest course played so far this year (Torrey Pines South played at 7,765 yards for the Farmers Insurance Open).

• Augusta National’s 44 bunkers are the 2nd fewest so far this year (24 at Memorial Park for the Houston Open).

The Course

No. 1, 445 yards, par 4 (Tea Olive)

This slight dogleg right plays uphill and has a deep bunker requiring a 317-yard carry off the tee. The bunker has a tongue in the left side, so anything that enters the front of the bunker might be blocked by the lip. A bunker is left of the green, which falls off sharply at the back and to the right.

Average score: 4.236

No. 2, 585 yards, par 5 (Pink Dogwood)

The dogleg left can be reached in two with a good drive. A fairway bunker on the right comes into play. A drive kept down the left side shortens the hole but leaves a downhill lie to a green guarded by two deep bunkers in the front.

Average score: 4.770

No. 3, 350 yards, par 4 (Flowering Peach)

One of the best short par 4s in golf, this hole hasn’t been changed since 1982. Big hitters can drive near the green, and more are trying. But there are difficult short-game shots surrounding the L-shaped green that slopes sharply from right to left. Some players still hit iron off the tee to stay short of four bunkers on the left side.

Average score: 4.071

No. 4, 240 yards, par 3 (Flowering Crab Apple)

This usually is long iron or maybe fairway metal for shorter hitters. A deep bunker protects the right side of the green, with another bunker to the left. The green slopes to the front. This hole features the only palm tree on the course.

Average score: 3.282

No. 5, 495 yards, par 4 (Magnolia)

The Masters tee was moved back 40 yards in 2019. It now requires a 313-yard carry over the bunkers on the left of this uphill, slight dogleg to the left. The green slopes severely from back to front, and a small bunker catches anything long. If an approach is long and misses the bunker, it could roll down the slope and into the Magnolia trees. The back left green has been softened to allow for a pin position.

Average score: 4.267

No. 6, 180 yards, par 3 (Juniper)

An elevated tee to a large green with three tiers, with significant slopes marking the three levels. Getting close to the hole is a challenge. The easiest pin might be front left. The hole has not been changed since 1975.

Average score: 3.135

No. 7, 450 yards, par 4 (Pampas)

This hole literally has come a long way, from 320 yards to 450 yards. The tee shot is through a chute of Georgia pines, played to the left-centre of the fairway into a slight slope. The green is surrounded by five bunkers, the most around any green.

Average score: 4.156

No. 8, 570 yards, par 5 (Yellow Jasmine)

An accurate drive is important to avoid the fairway bunker on the right side. The hole is uphill and features trouble left of the green. There are no bunkers around the green, just severe mounding.

Average score: 4.813

No. 9, 460 yards, par 4 (Carolina Cherry)

The tee shot should be aimed down the right side for a good angle into the green, which features two large bunkers to the left. Any approach that is short could spin some 25 yards back into the fairway.

Average score: 4.133

No. 10, 495 yards, par 4 (Camellia)

A long hole that can play shorter if the drive catches the slope in the fairway. It is difficult to save par from the bunker right of the green. The putting surface slopes from right to left.

Average score: 4.296

No. 11, 520 yards, par 4 (White Dogwood)

Amen Corner starts here. A big tee shot — and a straight one — is required to get to the crest of the hill. A pond guards the green to the left and a bunker is to the back right. The safe shot is to bail out short and to the right, but it leaves a difficult pitch.

Average score: 4.303

No. 12, 155 yards, par 3 (Golden Bell)

This is among the most famous par 3s in golf and the shortest hole at Augusta National. Club selection can range from a 6-iron to a 9-iron, but it’s difficult to gauge the wind. Rae’s Creek is in front of the shallow green, with two bunkers behind it and one in front.

Average score: 3.267

No. 13, 545 yards, par 5 (Azalea)

The tee was moved back 35 yards in 2023. It still requires an accurate tee shot to the centre of the fairway to set up players to go for the green, but they have a mid-iron at best. A tributary to Rae’s Creek winds in front of the green, and four bunkers are behind the putting surface. From tee to green, there are about 1,600 azaleas.

Average score: 4.775

No. 14, 440 yards, par 4 (Chinese Fir)

This is the only hole on the course without a bunker. Even if the drive avoids trees on both sides of the fairway, the green has severe contours that feed the ball to the right.

Average score: 4.162

No. 15, 550 yards, par 5 (Firethorn)

A cluster of pines is starting to mature on the right side of the fairway, making it critical to be straight off the tee. The green can be reached in two with a good drive, but a pond guards the front and there is a bunker to the right. Even for those laying up, the third shot requires a precise wedge from a severe downhill lie.

Average score: 4.781

No. 16, 170 yards, par 3 (Redbud)

The hole is played entirely over water and eventually bends to the left. Two bunkers guard the right side, and the green slopes significantly from right to left. The Sunday pin typically is back and on the lower shelf, and pars from the top shelf that day are rare.

Average score: 3.138

No. 17, 440 yards, par 4 (Nandina)

The Eisenhower Tree to the left of the fairway about 210 yards from the tee could not be saved from an ice storm in February 2014. That has made the tee shot much easier, especially for those with a lower, left-to-right ball flight. The green is protected by two bunkers in the front.

Average score: 4.164

No. 18, 465 yards, par 4 (Holly)

Now among the most demanding finishing holes in golf, this uphill dogleg right is protected off the tee by two deep bunkers at the left elbow — the only bunkers in play off the tee on the back nine (except for par 3s). Trees get in the way of a drive that strays to the right. Bunkers grab any shot to the left and right.

Average score: 4.232

Jon Rahm Win 13.5/1(+1350) 1.00 LOSS

From LIV we like JR over Bryson despite the latter winning the last 2 events on LIV in Singapore & South Africa.

In his last 5 events on LIV tour all in 2026 JR has only lost 1 stroke in SG metrics which was in Putting in Singapore (losing -1.33 strokes).

  • 2nd x LIV South Africa with 65, 66, 64. 63 for 258 (-26) playoffs with Bryson
  • 5th x LIV Singapore with 67, 68, 71, 68 for 274 (-10)
  • 1st x LIV Hong Kong with 66, 62, 65, 64 for 257 (-23)
  • 2nd x LIV Adelaide with 68, 63, 66, 71 for 268 (-20)
  • 2nd x Riyadh with 67, 68, 67, 63 for 265 (-23)

The most recent 2nd in South Africa JR finished on day 4 with +5.14 strokes gained compared to Bryson's +2.14 which is significant.

In Adelaide he was beaten by comeback story Anthony Kim who surprised everyone, but JR left himself way too much work to do late but it's hard to beat a player who carded 63 on his final round.

On LIV in 2026 Jon Rahm has been good-

  • 19th x OTT Fairways hit @ 63.93% (179/280) above PGA avg
  • 1st x Birdies 116 in 2026 (avg 5.80 per event)
  • 4th x Scrambling 47/64 Par or better @ 73.44 above PGA avg
  • 1st x GIR @ 82.22% with 296 of 360 greens in regulation (well above PGA avg)
  • T35 X Putting with a 678 GIR putts (avg 1.61) Cam Smith is 1st with 1.49 avg putts

As advised above JR has only lost strokes putting once in Singapore and that was across 72 holes so last year around Augusta, he was 11th in Putting & in +SG.

**Informed on Tuesday that he has played Augusta National's famed Amen Corner under par of the 91 players in this week's Masters field, the Legion XIII captain is one of the most accomplished performers through the treacherous par-4 11th, par-3 12th and par-5 13th, a key stretch that often decides who slips on the green jacket each April.

When Rahm won the Masters in 2023, he played Amen Corner in 11.50.

JR opened around $12.50 on betfair & has firmly found $13.50 & what we have seen from JR is he is about to peak @ Augusta V Bryson who has already won the last 2 events on LIV + Bryson is more a T10 contender having resulted in T5 & T6 in the last 2 editions.

Rory McIlroy Win 15.5/1(+1550) 1.00 WIN

What we thought about Rory at the Arnold Palmer when selected @ $11.50 & we liked him so much we applied x 4 units to Win outright-

  • 11th x SG: T2G
  • 4th x SG: OTT
  • 68th x SG: APG
  • 57th x SG: ARG
  • 9th x SG: PUT
  • 72% x Greens in Regulation
  • BTA- Below tour avg Driving Accuracy
  • 93.7% x made cuts in 2025 & 100% in 2026 (2/2)
  • 87.55% x top 25 in 2025 & 100% in 2025 (2/2)
  • 69.1 stroke avg
  • 29 x PGA Wins
  • 4/4 x SG metrics

What we sent out as Late Mail for the Genesis Invitational when 2nd.

  • 28th x SG: Off the Tee @ +0.371 strokes gained
  • 51st x Greens in Regulation @ 51.85% (28/54)
  • 47th x SG: Approach to Green @ -2.724 losing strokes
  • 8th x SG: Around the Green +2.166 strokes gained
  • 16th x SG: Putting @ +2.369 strokes gained
  • T22 x SG: Total @ +2.183
  • T28 x Driving Accuracy @ 57.14% (24/42) fairways hit

We will use Rory as the banker this week as he will be delighted to get away from poa annua greens and get back onto Bermuda grass.

Currently ranked in 2026-

  • 2nd in Strokes gained Tee to Green
  • 1st in Strokes gained Approach the Green

I am not overly concerned about his current 77th in Putting either as he was ranked as high as 9th on PGA tour in putting and we like many have mentioned he never really receives the credit for being as good putting.

Around $11.50 on betfair I would strongly suggest trying to get matched between $12 to $14 on betfair. We recommend 4 units this week. In total our spend will be 14 units on the event over the 10 players.

Confirming Rory @ 4 units Win & all other players 1 unit win.

For Augusta-

  • T46 x THE PLAYERS Championship with 74, 71, 72, 71 for 288 (E)
  • W/D x Arnold Palmer Invitational with 72, 68
  • T2 x The Genesis Invitational with 66, 65, 69, 67 for 267 (-17)
  • T14 x AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with 68, 67, 72, 64 for 271 (-17)

The defending Champion arrives nice and fresh and with 30 strokes gained metrics in total over 22 rounds of golf in 2026 Rory has been in positive SG-

  • 17 of 22 rounds in +SG

This week was full dedication as I watched countless hours of why many thought Rory could not win when we think the opposite. He was under immense pressure the win the green jacket and despite only 3 finishes from 4 events this year after his withdrawal when picked for the PGA Arnold Palmer he has had time away to work on his game.

In 20225 he was slow to start with 72 (+1.59 SG) before he really ramped up his game with a 66 on day 2 (+6.67 SG) followed by another 66 on day 3 (+6.38 SG) before claiming the Masters in a playoff after a sluggish 73 (-0.93 strokes lost) on day 4.

We like him to defend as he should be very stress free entering the week & after opening around $14.50 on betfair he has firmly sat around $15.50 on betfair. Of note he was $7.50 last year & although hard to defend a Masters it is not impossible.

**RORY Afterall is King in 1st x SG: T2G in 2026 with 1.933 strokes per round on Avg.

Ludvig Aberg Win 20/1(+2000) 1.00 LOSS

What we sent out for LV for PGA THE Players Championships-

What a return to form last week @ AP where the Swede-

  • 5th x SG: Off The Tee @ +2.979 strokes gained
  • T4 x Greens in Regulation @ 70.83% (51/72)
  • 3rd x SG: Approach to Green @ +5.361
  • 14th x SG: Around The Green @ +1.445
  • 23rd x SG: Putting @ +1.082
  • T3 x SG: Total @ +10.867
  • T2 x Driving Accuracy @ 73.21% (41/56)
  • 1st x Driving Distance @ 331.00 yds
  • T4 x Eagles @ 1
  • T7 x Birdies @ 19
  • T32 x Pars @ 44
  • T7 x Bogeys @ 7
  • T23 x Double Bogeys @ 1

Around a course last week where honestly most players (over 70% had a less than 50% DA) which they just could not find fairways.

LA on Days 1 & 3 had above 75% Driving Accuracy, and his worst day was day 4 where he was still better than most of the field with his 64.29% (9/14).

His Ball striking looked sharp, and his putting stats could have looked a whole lot better as there were a few on day 4 that only missed by 20mm.

The course and his current newfound form will suit and even yesterday there was $27 on offer for the Swede on betfair, he is now around $24.

Augusta

We left him alone last week @ PGA Valero Open but he was the 36-hole leader and looked in control but there was over an inch of rain that fell overnight in between day 3 to day 4 & a few players include LV had trouble with wet balls. I will declare early LV has had 2 events in which he has sliced the ball OTT for no apparent reasons, the wet ball was an excuse last week, but he was wayward on a few holes at other events recently when it mattered.

So why NOW?

From his only 2 attempts in this Major, he finished 2nd on his debut in 2024 & backed it up with a 7th in 2025-

  • 7th x rounds of 68, 73, 69, 72 for 282 (-6)
  • 2nd x rounds of 73, 69, 70, 69 for 281 (-7)

A lot of people ask why we do not pick LV often, it is easy really, we follow players, match them to course fit and of course they must hit our own criteria, I think his 3rd time around he can make a run.

  • 100% in our SG metrics across 5 events and 20 rounds of golf (all green)

His last 3 events he has been working on various metrics, and it shows-

  • T5 x PGA Valero Open with 67, 67, 69, 70 for 273 (-15)
  • T5 x PGA The Players Championships with 69, 63, 71, 76 for 279 (-9)
  • T3 x PGA Arnold Palmer Invitational with 66, 71, 72, 67 for 276 (-12)

Why we like him this week, I cannot recall the show as have watched over 15 now at the time of summary but he had crazy strokes gained around Augusta. Is it too early we will find out, but the goal is to get above +70% into Day 3 so making the cut is as important as having players to shoot it out on the last 18 holes, the more the merrier is the motto.

Last year he started with a 68 (-4) if he can do the same it will go along way & after opening @ $19 on betfair there is plenty around $20 currently on betfair, the market is as such there are 15 players under $50. Despite being keen on LV we have a few at greater odds we do favour.

Cameron Young Win 25/1(+2500) 1.00 LOSS

In a recent Interview before winning the PGA THE Players Championships in Mid-March after being one of our picks he described Augusta as being the best course fit for his game, he has been hit or miss at recent Masters, however, he has never arrived in such great form either.

What we sent out when winning recently-

  • 86th x SG: T2G
  • 31st x SG: OTT
  • 129th x SG: APG
  • 107th x SG: ARG
  • 7th x SG: PUT
  • 18% GIR
  • BTA-below tour avg Driving Accuracy
  • 72% made cuts in 2025 + 100% in 2026 (5/5)
  • 48% top 25 in 2025 + 60% in 2026 (3/5)
  • ¾ x SG metrics
  • 70.06 stroke avg
  • 1 x PGA win

So far in 2025 CY was a slow starter with a T22 @ PGA Farmers Insurance then mediocre results followed at PGA WM Phoenix Open with T41 & T55 @ PGA AT & T Pebble Beach Pro-am before improving to-

  • T7 @ PGA Genesis Invitational with 72, 68, 66, 66 for -12
  • T3 @ PGA Arnold Palmer Invitational with 67, 73, 67, 69 for -12

The improvement should excel him around the TPC Sawgrass with new stats in-

  • 1st x SG: OTT @ +7.391 strokes gained
  • 2nd x GIR @ 75.00% (54/72)
  • 18 x SG: APG @ +1.742
  • 32 x SG: ARG @ +0.087
  • 19th x SG: PUT @ +1.647
  • T3 x SG: Total @ +10.867
  • 1st x Driving Accuracy @ 75.00% (42/56)

Since his breakout Win @ the 2025 PGA Wyndham Championships we have been waiting for a breakout season, if he maintains the improved stats that will see him win another on tour in 2026.

After opening on Monday on betfair @ $36 he has remained relatively firm in betting @ $40, with possible questions surrounding the form of Scheffler and the back issue with Rory then $40 is more than fair.

Augusta

How can you not like CY this week?

Without over powering us all with stats his game has never been better & I have listened to experts all week say "His putting" will come under pressure here, if we have learnt anything all golfers when on song can Putt well, if anything he chased down Fitzy in his recent Win and 2026 could be a very well defining 2026.

He opened as much as $65 in early Masters markets before winning the Players but after seeing plenty of $23 & $24 earlier this week on betfair Australia he has eased slightly to $25, I suggest considering what I have read & listened to all week CY maybe cooling & seeing tee off is not until 8am AEST we may get plenty better odds by waiting.

He beat most of these so I do not buy into his driving or putting is not good enough.

Tommy Fleetwood Win 27/1(+2700) 1.00 LOSS

The grinder in TF can come out to play this week, we like to do comparison between players, so it was a matter of Matt Fitzpatrick V Tommy Fleetwood & Tommy got the nod.

What was sent out for the PGA Arnold Palmer Invitational in early March when TF was $24.

  • 3rd x SG: T2G
  • 50th x SG: OTT
  • 6th x SG: APG
  • 25th x SG: ARG
  • 20th x SG: PUT
  • 65.37% x GIR
  • 67.37% x DA
  • 94.7% made cuts in 2025 + 100% in 2026 (2/2)
  • 78.9% top 25 in 2025 + 100% in 2026 (2/2)
  • 69.43 stroke avg
  • 1 x PGA Win + 8 x DPWT Wins
  • 4/4 x SG metrics

This will be the 1st time we have selected Tommy in 2026 but I watched him yesterday in the TGL playing for Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC) for future ref but he looked rock solid in all areas of his game albeit indoors.

Looked a good tune up for this.

He is knocking on the door with both results in 2026 so good-

  • 4th x PGA @ AT & T Pebble Beach with 67, 68, 67, 66 for -20
  • 7th x PGA @ Genesis Invitational with 69, 66, 70, 67 for -12

At the Genesis Invitational he was-

  • 7th x SG: OTT with +2.080 strokes gained
  • 1st x SG: ARG with +4.420 strokes gained

Tommy is around $24 currently on betfair after opening @ $22 on Monday so has met with good support, There is plenty of $26 to $27 unmatched on betfair so I am happy taking $24 or $25 and will have a little bit extra personally on him for the HOPE Scott Scheffler does the usual slow start, be weary though as SS has won this event twice in last 4 years.

Augusta

His best is good enough around the tough course, after results of-

  • T21 x 2025 Masters with 73, 69, 75, 69 for 286 (-2)
  • T3 x 2024 Masters with 72, 71, 72, 69 for 284 (-4)
  • 33rd x 2023 Masters with 72, 71, 74, 74 for 291 (+3)
  • T14 x 2022 Masters with 75, 72, 70, 73 for 290 (+2)

We also think after it took years to win his 1st PGA title he did it in such style @ PGA TOUR Championships. That was 2 x 1sts in a season as he also won DPWT in India which was around a very demanding course.

A stat TF does not get a lot of recognition is around the greens-

  • 2nd x SG: ARG

After being as one Analysts who was on the Tommy choker media blitz in 2025 he has shown his grinding is what we can expect his to give this a shake in his 41st MAJOR.

I for one have watched him at all events in 2026 and his last few events he has not looked like he is really pushing himself either, his shots are organically and not pushed and he is shooting for a 19th straight cut made so currently around $27 on betfair after opening @ $25 he is another like Young who could get close to $30 by tee off.

Tommy does sit 5th x SG: T2G with +1.606 shots gained on avg per round in 2026.

Hideki Matsuyama Win 32/1(+3200) 1.00 LOSS

If the Japanese player can not spray the ball like he did when losing in a playoff to Chris Gotterup @ WM Phoenix Open he can be in the T10 heading into the final 18 holes.

I think he has improved his driving considerably in his last 3 events.

What we sent out for the Farmers Insurance Open-

  • 22nd x SG: T2G
  • 139th x SG: OTT
  • 19th x SG: APG
  • 5th x SG: ARG
  • 110th x SG: PUT
  • 65.7% GIR
  • BTA- DA
  • 86.9% made cuts in 2025 + 100% in 2026
  • 52.2% top 25 in 2025
  • 69.85 stroke avg
  • 11 x PGA wins

The Stig & MJ selected HM in Hawaii and to be fair Hideki was ordinary with his putter when missing vital putts from inside 10 feet.

  • 64th x SG: PUT losing -2.518 strokes

It is worth mentioning that HM remained in the hunt with a 65 (-5) after 54 holes to set himself up for a big push on day 4 but his putting was the weak link & his T13 with -9 was a pass considering how good he was when winning the PGA Hero World challenge in December.

What was on display in Hawaii was his strong driving accuracy, HM gained +8.4 strokes in T2G over 4 days @ Waialae, the 3rd-best in the field.

It is worth mentioning around Torrey Pines where he's gained an average of +3.13 strokes on approach over his last 6 appearances (2nd-best in the field) and lost strokes around the greens just once in 13 career starts, ranking 4th overall.

Hideki has one of the strongest career resumes @ Torrey Pines this week.

  • 6 x top 16 finishes over 8 years
  • 11 x straight cuts made
  • at the 3 different tournaments that have called La Jolla home (Farmers Insurance Open, Genesis Invitational, U.S. Open).

At his current betfair odds around $34 we would expect him to remain firm in the market & can avenge our selection in Hawaii.

Augusta

Noting how HM did spray the ball @ WM Phoenix Open and to be blunt he got away with it around there & Augusta just is not as forgiving but what we have seen in his last 5 events since has seen a focused effort to improve that aspect of his game-

  • PGA Valero Open @ 58.93% (33/56)
  • PGA THE Players Championships @ 57.14% (32/56)
  • PGA Arnold Palmer Invitational @ 58.93% (33/56)
  • PGA The Genesis Invitational @ 69.64% (39/56)
  • PGA AT&T Pebble Beach Pro am @ 67.86% (38/56)

Also noting when he won @ PGA HERO World Challenge in early December of 2025 the issue did not affect when he was @ 78.85% (41/52).

His last 5 events have seen him improve that aspect & he is a solid wedge & iron player who is currently ranked-

  • 15th x SG: APG
  • 17th x SG: T2G

  • 14th x SG: ARG

Although not blessed with a massive driver in distance I am happy he has focused on his driving accuracy which I find more important around Augusta than how far & his overall presence @ Majors is proven over time with him saluting around here in-

  • 1st x 2021 Masters with 69, 71, 65, 73 for 278 (-10)

Going for his 24th straight cut.

Around here his better Iron play can sim him feature in the final groups when it matters and despite being a GRENN JACKET holder he opened around $29 on betfair and $32 is now on offer, I would suggest +$36 should be available closer to tee off.

Patrick Reed Win 44/1(+4400) 1.00 LOSS

Our $100 late mail pick last year.

Much has been reported since his dramatic release from LIV but he has found a path way via DPWT with terrific results before he can return to PGA tour on August 25th in 2026.

  • 1st x SG: T2G @ +2.16 SG on Avg per Rd
  • 1st x SG: Total @ +2.40 strokes on Avg per round (23 rounds measured)
  • 58th x SG: OTT @ +0.21 per round
  • 2nd x SG: APG @ +1.57 SG on avg per Rd
  • 14th x SG: ARG
  • 4th x scrambling @ 67.29%
  • 49th x SG: PUT @ +0.24 SG on avg per Rd
  • 5th x GIR x @ 74.15%
  • DA- current driving accuracy on DPWT @ 54.04%
  • Made Cuts @ 100% (9/9)
  • T25 in 2025 @ 44.4% (4/9) includes 2 x 1sts
  • DPWT stroke avg 68.71
  • Par 4 scoring @ 3.95
  • 4th x DPWT for bogeys avg 1.96 per round
  • 2 x Wins in 2026

There was as much as $50 available just last night on betfair but after a few leading Analysts started spruiking his game he shortened, those same few were very wary that he has not played in the past 4 weeks, that's not a concern here.

I am not overly concerned about his putting as was evident when 3rd last year @ 2025 Masters-

  • 3rd x with 71, 70, 69, 69 for 279 (-9)

Had it not been for 3 single bogeys on holes 1 & 3 before the one that cost him on the 13th hole (a par 5) he then eagled the 18th in style to finish just off Rosey & Rory in the playoff.

He did however go 4 x straight birdies on holes 6, 7, 8, 9 and the bogey on 13th that 61% of players had birdied.

Much has been said recently leading up to Masters week when PR was only 27 years old on winning the 2018 Masters but to be fair that 27 to 35 age bracket is a sweet spot for golfers as well so what we do like away from all the other noise this week is the consistency PR has sown since entering the DPWT full time in late 2025.

After results of T49 @ Abu Dhabi Championships & T28 @ DPWT TOUR Championships which is their version of the TOUR championships for PGA he did not have much rest over the Christmas period with-

  • 26th x DPWT Dubai Invitational (+1)
  • 1st x DPWT HERO Dubai Desert Classic (-14)
  • T2 x 2026 DPWT Bahrain (-17) lost in a 3-way playoff
  • 1st x DPWT Qatar Masters (-16)
  • 29th x DPWT South African Open (-3)
  • T10 x DPWT Joburg Open (-10)

Now home on USA soil a lot must be factored in when players spend much of their time abroad playing away from home, I am sure considering his latest press releases he is looking forward to this week @ Augusta.

PR can lean on his very strong Iron play and the 2nd set up shot around here suits those that are better in SG: APG and I was only listening to a podcast with Scott Scheffler form 12 months ago and how imperative it is to get your shots set up on this course, its all about planning & execution, Players will need to be targeting at least -10 or better to be in the finish, so far 4 good days of weather is predicted so scores could reach on avg -3 to -4 per day.

After opening at $50 & there was plenty available last night at those odds PR has trimmed up firmly into $44 on betfair now, I would suggest (not recommend) waiting to see what transpires price wise into late Thursday night time in Australia (about 8 hours before Tee off) to closer to that $50.

Markets will be all over the place after the finish of the 1st x 18 holes so again if a player is close enough their price could easily be double before tee off.

Jacob Bridgeman Win 100/1(+10000) 1.00 LOSS

Our first time picking JB in 2026 despite him sitting ranked 40th in our player roster/database.

  • 126th x SG: T2G
  • 126th x SG: OTT
  • 124th x SG: APG
  • 61st x SG: ARG
  • 21st x SG: PUT
  • 65.19% Greens in regulation
  • BTA below tour driving accuracy on tour
  • 63.3% made cuts in 2025
  • 30.5% T25 in 2025
  • 0 rated
  • 2/4 x SG metrics
  • 69.91 stroke avg
  • 0 x PGA wins

A lot has changed for JB since the Win & he now sits currently amongst ball PGA players in 2026-

  • 37th x SG: T2G
  • 2nd x SG: Total
  • 51st x SG: OTT
  • 22nd x SG: APG
  • 114th x SG: ARG
  • 1st x SG: PUT
  • 25th x GIR @ 69.44% (high for PGA)
  • 72nd x DA @ 59.23%
  • 100% x Made cuts in 2026 (8/8)
  • 100% x T25 in 2026 (8/8)
  • +2 rated
  • ¾ x SG metrics
  • Stroke avg 69.25
  • 1 x PGA Win

There is so much going for JB in 2026, the fact that he has made 8 from 8 cuts but also 8 x T25 finishes is crazy, Rory, try as he may could not run him down when JB won @ PGA Genesis Invitational in late February 2026.

Around Augusta he may be relatively new with this his debut but he is in red hot form and around $100 on betfair now after as much as $120 & $130 was available, I think after the rush is over soon, he will find at least $120 on betfair, you could try getting matched for that through Thursday at least.

Very slick putting so if he cannot let the nerves get to him, he can pick up +1.5 to +2 strokes gained per round especially if he can minimise losses in strokes around the green.

We will get a good gauge on the first 18 holes whether JB is settling well into his 1st Major.

Corey Conners Win 120/1(+12000) 1.00 LOSS

What PGT sent out for the PGA THE Players when we liked the Canadian @ $100-

  • 39th x SG: T2G
  • 24th x SG: OTT
  • 39th x SG: APG
  • 146th x SG: ARG
  • 67th x SG: PUT
  • 69.2% x GIR
  • 64% x DA
  • 85.3% made cuts in 2025 + 80% in 2026 (4/5)
  • 57.2% top 25 in 2025 + 20% in 2025 (1/5)
  • 4/4 x SG metrics
  • 70 stroke avg
  • 2 x PGA wins

This Canadian has always had difficulty around the greens and his putting often loses the positives strokes he picks up on the field off the tee.

Last week there was improvement-

  • 22nd x SG: OTT @ +0.983 strokes gained
  • 3rd x GIR @ 72.22% (52/72)
  • 9th x SG: APG @ +3.738
  • 23 x SG: ARG @ +0.494
  • 49th x SG: Putting losing -5.348 strokes
  • T33 x SG: Total losing -0.133 strokes
  • T2 x Driving Accuracy @ 73.21% (41/56)

He may have lost more than 5 strokes in putting overall and the -1 for the event may have you scratching your head but on days 1 & 4 he was ranked in the T30 in Putting, his Achilles heel but if he can use his usually slick approach play then convert some decent birdie chances, his driving accuracy should allow that set up here, there is 4 x par 5s.

He is flying under the radar, and he does because of his usually weaker putting, again we saw Bhatia have a breakout last weekend, he has won 2 already on PGA so it seems the theme for 2026 is players who have won 2 winning 3?

There are a few analysts out there wanting to tip him for T20 & T30, those markets are very diluted and why we prefer to play mostly in WIN markets but CC has been pretty firm since opening around $90, there is around $100 currently on betfair, I could not get matched for $130 but will try again closer to tee off.

Augusta

At THE Players, he gave us a great sight at odds as he was-

  • T10 after day 1 @ -3
  • T4 after day 2 @ -8
  • T4 after day 3 @ -8

After losing -2 strokes on the final 18 holes he finished in T13 @ -6 with the 74 really nailing shut his coffin for that event.

There are a few players between $50 to $90 here for the Masters that I would have at bigger odds than this Canadian who generally does have a good all-round account for himself here in Georgia.

  • T8 x 2025
  • T38 x 2024
  • CUT x 2023
  • T6 x 2022
  • T8 x 2021
  • T10 x 2020 (covid delayed)

4 from 6 x T10 finishes in his Masters resume and whilst he has contested 28 x Majors his best results in the BIG ones are here around Augusta.

In the last 10 years it can be said that "Putting" does not win this one, whilst it will help it really will come down to who has crisp approach shots over the 4 days.

CC has made 7 of 8 cuts so far in 2026 (87.5% making cuts) so if he can just have one of his best events in putting there is no reason he cannot be in the finish.

Around $120 on betfair currently he is our roughie for the event, and I did see $140 to $150 on Monday night so you can always see if you can get matched for greater odds.

I did look @ T10 markets and there was also plenty of +$7 and with his proven T10 (4/6) you could always consider covering the play with that market, It is not an official selection, just advising the possibilities. A lot has been speculated in the media that this could be a 1st time winner with some lingering questions on the Favs, I will remind myself and many others usually that is not the case but again we are value finders so why not his history is hard to ignore.
