Course Overview
The Farmers Insurance Open is played at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California, perched on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. The first two rounds split the field between the South and North courses, with the final two rounds contested exclusively on the South Course after the cut. The South Course plays to 7,765 yards at par 72 — one of the longest tracks in professional golf — designed by William P. Bell in 1957 and extensively renovated by Rees Jones in 2001 and 2019.
The South features four par 5s, four par 3s, and ten par 4s with Poa annua greens and ryegrass-overseeded fairways. The North Course plays to approximately 7,258 yards at par 72. Torrey Pines South has hosted two US Opens — 2008 (Tiger Woods) and 2021 (Jon Rahm) — reinforcing its championship credentials.
